Fun Facts

• There is approximately 183,000 linear feet of pipe being installed underground on this project. This is equivalent to installing the pipe 14 x’s around the Daytona International Speedway.

• The project will use approximately 26,500 cubic yards of asphalt to pave the new 4-lane Belle Terre Parkway. This is equivalent to paving 50 football fields 3” thick, or paving 1 football field 10 feet thick.

• There is approximately 152,000 cubic yards of material that will be excavated from this project. This is equivalent to digging 1055 average sized swimming pools.

• The project will use approximately 250,000 cubic yards of embankment material. This is equivalent to filling 338 homes that are 2000 square foot in size with 10 foot ceilings.

• The 4 detention ponds located on the west side of the project will hold approximately 21.5 million gallons of water at full capacity.

• The Average Annual Daily Traffic that drives along Belle Terre Parkway between Palm Coast Parkway and Matanzas Woods Parkway is 20,980 vehicles per day. In the year 2028, it is estimated that this number will increase to 37,890 vehicles per day.
